What is Metallurgy?

Metallurgy:

Metallurgy can be defined in number of ways given below;

1) The process used for extraction of metal in their pure form, from their ores is to referred as Metallurgy. 

2) The science that deals with procedures used in extracting metals from their ores, purifying and alloying metals, and creating useful objects from metals.

3) The study of metals and their properties in bulk and at the atomic level.

4) The technique or science of working or heating metals so as to give them certain desired shapes or properties.
